However if you are planning to come to Bandung in the near future, it would be very wise if you bring the following items:
- Sweater and/or jacket.
This is very useful especially if you include the visit to the White Crater into your tour itinerary and there are children and elderly people in your group. It is because although the weather forecast in downtown seems fine, the local weather around the White Crater can be totally different from what is happening in downtown Bandung. Also the weather at the White Crater can change dramatically.
Sweater and/or jacket is also very useful when you plan to go to volcanoes as the wind is usually quite strong.
- Sun block
It is very recommended that you bring sun block if you plan to visit Tangkuban Perahu in northern Bandung. If you go to this volcano in the early afternoon in broad daylight, the sunlight can be very strong that can cause serious sunburn on your skin.
Prepare a pair of sunglasses if you want to visit volcanoes to protect your eyes from blinding sunlight.
If you plan to go trekking or hiking, do not forget to bring gloves with you, especially if you also plan to go camping on the mountain as the weather on top of the mountain or volcano can drop up to 7°C at night which would be quite chilling.
- Waterproof container
This waterproof container is very useful if you plan to go hiking, especially to store valuable items such as mobile phone and other electronic appliances.
If you plan to visit Bandung in rainy season, it would be better that you wear boots which enable you to walk more comfortably in the rain and muddy areas.
